More than 130 business owners, community members and elected officials attended the Chamber’s first main live event since 2019. Each guest speaker used their time to discuss what their office or city agency (LAPD/LAFD) has accomplished, or is planning to address in the next year. During the Q&A, attendees submitted a wide range of questions, from the supply chain crisis businesses are facing, especially in the manufacturing and retail industries, to the continuing homelessness crisis, and the recent federal indictment of L.A. Councilman Mark Ridley-Thomas on bribery and conspiracy charges.
During the program, Chamber President Nick Montaño and Congressman Brad Sherman (pictured below) honored VP of Operations, Jheri Heetland, for her dedicated and ongoing service to the business and non-profit communities. Heetland has and continues to commit countless hours during the pandemic to keep the doors open for our members and struggling businesses.
Thank you to ALL of our Guest Speakers who participated in last Thursday’s event. Thank you to Les Himes, past Chamber President, who returned as Master of Ceremonies. Special thanks to David Phelps of Phelps Public Affairs and the Events Committee, for their hard work and dedication in planning a safe and successful community event!
